NEW MILLS PUMPING STATION
Norwich, Norfolk
We have completed topographical surveys of the bypass sluice at the above historic structure on the river Wensum.
The Environment Agency is reviewing several of its river control structures along this river, as many of them impede the upstream migration of elvers and other young fish.
Our Client, Dabbrook, proposes to build 'fish passes' at these locations to provide the young fish with a specifically designed, gentle uphill gradient to allow them to continue their upstream journey. The present vertical faces of sluice gates and weirs currently prevents this.
We shall be assisting Dabbrook with the structural design and detailing of this interesting project.
