HISTORIC PROJECTS

When listed buildings are converted, the design must be sympathetic to the fabric of the original structure. The new structural layout must not only be designed for the change of use, but also to extend the life of the original building.

We have wide experience of the conversion of important listed buildings, where, utilising
in-house design skills, we have been able to retain the existing structure in a sympathetic manner.

We have considerable experience in repairs to historic and listed buildings for example specifying hardwood timber jointing details and repairs to original masonry and flintwork. In addition we have utilised new methods to incorporate the use of modern materials into the existing building fabric to provide enhanced stability.
