HELLESDON HOSPITAL

Purpose built facilities to include a 10 bed psychiatric intensive care unit and a further 12 bed low security support unit incorporating associated day spaces and facilities.

The single storey building is open and spacious providing a high quality environment to the patients.

Construction comprised of traditional loadbearing masonry with timber laminated framework as necessary to suit the large open spaces.  Engineered piled foundations were required to suit the poor ground conditions encountered at the site.  Our commission also included the design of the externals such as foul and surface water drainage systems and hardstandings.’
