JP Chick were extremely proud to be involved in such a worthwhile project as this. The project has won an Ipswich Society Award of Distinction and is being entered into the SAA Awards in 2012 with a view to winning an SAA Design Award.
The scheme was to build a new children's hospice in the centre of a four acre woodland site for East Anglia's Children's Hospice (EACH). EACH supports families caring for children with life threatening illnesses. The new hospice comprises six children's bedrooms, family accommodation, activity areas, therapy rooms, a staff wing and outdoor facilities. The design of this particular hospice is such that from wherever you are within the building, you have a view of the trees; hence the hospice name 'Treehouse'.
