SIXTH FORM CENTRE AND CLASSROOM BLOCK ,

Purpose built to provide state of the art facilities for the sixth form and also attached teaching block to replace two existing aging buildings which will be demolished.

The site contours have resulted in a split level structure with the sixth form and teaching block separated by a central 'street' atrium which passively vents the building.

Construction comprises a steel framed superstructure utilising composite floors. A traditional foundation solution has been used, with depths to suit the previous buildings foundations, and incorporating retaining walls as a result of the sloping site.
