We are pleased to announce that Steve Biggins joined the company on 13 July 2009. He will be undertaking a broad spectrum of structural designs. Steve brings to the company expertise in water retaining structures and canopy designs.
Steve is a graduate civil/structural engineer and is a graduate member of the IStructE, working towards his Charter. We are sure that with the support and ongoing training offered by JP Chick, Steve will reach his Charter status as desired.

May 2009
On 11 May 2009 Hellesdon Hospital opened. We were pleased to have the opportunity to be involved in this project, designing many aspects from foundations to drainage.
The facility is a single-storey masonry building providing psychiatric, intensive care and low risk units.

JP Chick & Partners Limited and JPC CDM Services have won a Term Agreement with
Southend-on-Sea Borough Council, Essex for a period of six months.
We will be providing the following disciplines to Southend-on-Sea Borough Council:-

JP Chick & Partners Limited have won a Term Agreement with Babergh District Council, Suffolk commencing 1 April 2009 for a period of two years.
We will be providing a checking facility for structural calculations deposited for Building Regulations consent to Babergh District Council.
We look forward to providing the Council with our usual high quality services.

One of our projects has been nominated for and subsequently shortlisted to receive an
LABC East Anglia Building Excellence Award.
The project is Poringland Library in Poringland, Norwich where we were commissioned to undertake the design of structural elements and drainage elements. For more information please visit our project page.

One of the projects on which we worked received an Architectural Award on 6 November 2008 at the Campaign for Rural England Norfolk awards. Our client was Chaplin Farrant, the architects on the scheme, for the refurbishment of this high profile scheme in the centre of Sheringham. For more details and links please visit the project page.

JP Chick & Partners Ltd have been appointed by Morrison Utility Services to provide design and drawing work for the next phase of their environmental bunding work for EDF. There are five current schemes ranging from North London up to Peterborough.

On1 April 2008, Nick Quinton joined our Ipswich Office as a Building Surveyor. Nick will receive training in CDM, including professional membership to the Association of Project Safety and undertaking the NEBOSH Construction Certificate Course.

On 31 March 2008, Sarah Barnes joined our Ipswich office as an Environmental Technician. Sarah, who graduated in 2007 from Nottingham University, will be working within our Environmental Services division undertaking contaminated land investigations and flood risk assessments.

On 17 March 2008, Craig Carr joined our Ipswich Office as Engineering/CAD Technician. Craig is currently attending a construction course at college.

JP Chick & Partners Ltd have been awarded the structural design services contract as part of Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Council, Framework for construction. The contract is to last for three years, 2008-2011.
